Canes to go back to back.
TJ and BB to run riot.
Barrett's brother is in the team and many are picking him to be even better. Will be interesting seeing how he goes, especially now his other bro made the ABs along with BB.

I hope the cons and meat eaters have some strong teams this year.

sa Lions :- more depth at lock , keep an eye on the frontrow , hookers Malcolm Marx and Akker Van der Merwe (Barbarians against Fiji) , in the backline Rihan janse van Rensberg at inside centre (posted a 50m try against Highlanders at ellispark last year)

"The Lions have confirmed they have acquired the services of Bulls lock Marvin Orie, who has been a regular in the Bulls Super Rugby set-up this year, and completed a move that almost happened two years ago when the Bulls convinced Orie to stay.

The Lions have also snapped up SA Schools A side lock PJ Steenkamp, with the Garsfontein lock set to make the move to Ellis Park at the end of his school career.

Orie's move seems to have been prompted by the arrival of Lood de Jager, with the lock struggling to get regular game time and behind RG Snyman and Jason Jenkins in the pecking order and likely to move further down when De Jager arrives"

I am supporting the one sa side to go in 2018. The Kings only finished NINTH in the Currie Cup and are not the 6 th best SA side by a country mile but they have a free passage to S18. politics .. politics .

Lions , Sharks and Kings are playing the Aussie sides this year while Bulls , Stormers and Cheetahs will play nz sides. High expectations for the Cheetahs by their supporters but they are not good tourists

Difficult to say at this stage. Last year the S18 wasn't that important for the Lions at the start of the tourney due to strictly applied quotas in international games while the Currie Cup is where the supporters interest initially was. As the Lions progressed and later contested the final of the S18, the Lions started reinforcing the S18 team from the Currie Cup team.
I do think in the S18 Lions will start their experienced pair in Mostert and Ferreira.

Beauden Barrett is the current world poty. Age 25
Scott is a lock who made the final tour last year and played really well. Plays for the Saders, age 24
Jordie is young, plays at center and went to the canes this year. Age 19
Ive never seen the young fella play, but it sounds like he's a bit of a gem.
