Post Re: World Rugby Sevens Series
It's been a wake up call for NZ since it was accepted into the olympics. We used to rely on good rugby players, now we need good 7's players, sadly most of the candidates want to play rugby instead.
It's good to see so many teams improve in 7's, the meat eaters are pretty awesome and have been for a while.

Series standing : Blitzbokke 63 with Fiji 51 and England chasing 49
Surprise to see the poor crowds
Sevens rugby is such a entertaining game

I can't see Wellington hosting it again. It's turned to custard. I think the organizers stopped the drinking??? Maybe someone in NZ can confirm that.
Congrats to the meat eaters.

Sidney Quarterfinals, Wales who shocked Fiji earlier in the day and Australia facing off in the other quarterfinal in their side of the draw. The other side sees Fiji and New Zealand against each other, while England face Argentina

Kwagga Smith the Steval Pumas openside flanker two tries against Australia and Seabelo Senatla against England in the final where the Blitzbokke missed Werner Kok injured but still managed the win 29 - 14 against England that looked weaker than in CT

Sidney Dream Team :

Blitzbokke Kwagga Smit, Seabelo Senatla and team-mate Justin Geduld.

England’s Phil Burgess, Fiji’s Jerry Tuwai, New Zealand’s Tim Mikkelson and America’s Danny Barrett completed the team.

Shame neither of them can really replicate in 15-a-side rugby. :thumbright:
