Post Top 14 Round 6
Results(see below)

Toulon very close win v La Roc. game was a case of 2 halves... Tln 20/6 up at 1/2 time. La Roc could well have won it and went close, they missed a BP (5 pt deficit in Top14) by refusing kickable pens.

Toulouse continue form but it was an awful game. 18 yr old 10 Romain Ntmack, son of Emile, made his debut for Tlse. He had an excellent under 20 W Cup and has been elected into the Top squad to be developed and looked after.

Stade F beat Pau after being behind for most of the match.

Oyonnax tanked by Bdx who are having a much better Season and are proving dangerous.

Lyon beat Racing .. an excellent away win and they and their Coach Mignoni have arrived as a force in Top14.
They could well develop a lot further as currently they are a comparatively new footprint in an area that is an epicentre of footy. They won well and with a relatively less than a prime selection.

Mop buried Brive and Altrad/Cotter machine is on its way. They certainly aren't 'glamorous' but they are very effective and one hopes that they've lost the yellow card image under White. Cotter a different animal and they are less forward oriented but the strength remains.

Castres beat Clermont who didn't get a BP. Clermont v much a 2nd team selection (Euro games in vision but they need a shake up!!) Absences included :lightly injured new Intl centre Penaud and wing ace Raka, rested Lopez and Parra and longer term injured Chouly, Iturria, Naikataci, Fofana and Toeva (both expected back soon). Clermont look vulnerable ...in early Euro Rounds! A welcome win for Castres!

The above comments reflect table, here :

a somewhat different mix at the top and quite virile whilst Brive, Oyonnax, Agen look likely to flounder.

Looks like Ospreys v Clermont in a few weeks time will be a battle of the early-season underachievers...
