Post French Championship final
French Top14 final on Sky Sports2 19:45

Clermont sbsentees : Spedding - dropped, Nakaitaci, Vahaamahina, Fofana - injured, Van der Merwe - banned.
(4 prime squad members missing, Two 2nd rows missing is a big hit with Timani still doubtful with early return from injury)

Perhaps the most important is their psychological fitness having only one of many finals.
jarvis on the bench

Le XV de Clermont : Abendanon ; Strettle, Penaud, Lamerat, Raka ; (o) Lopez, (m) Parra ; Lee, Cancoriet, Chouly (cap) ; Timani, Iturria ; Zirakashvili, Kayser, Chaume.
Remplaçants : Ulugia, Falgoux, Jedrasiak, Yato, Radosavljevic, Fernandez, Rougerie, Jarvis.

-----------

Toulon Absentees, ... 1/2p - Lions, Habana ( not sure why, I think he's injured), th Trinh-Duc unfit but on the bench, Giteau on the bench but only played 3 games this Season. Bellau at 10 is inexperienced. No decent place kicker, O'Connor is iffy snd Bellau inexperienced at this level. Team with experience but ageing...
However, Tuisova on form is a winnerand the team is always difficult to dominate

Le XV de Toulon : O'Connor ; Tuisova, Bastareaud, Nonu, Mitchell ; (o) Belleau, (m) Tillous-Borde ; Gill, Vermeulen, Smith ; Taofifenua, Kruger ; Van der Merwe, Guirado, Delboulbès.
Remplaçants : Etrillard, Chiocci, Gorgodze, Fernandez Lobbe, Trinh-Duc, Giteau, Escande, Chilachava..

Contrasting styles ...not a lot between them and certainly in this match.

Clermont have brought 10,000 fans with them

Worth a watch

Cockerell is a pain in the arse!

This 20 yr old Penaud ... not missing Fofana ..

Hang on, I've seen Clerm here before ...slumber may await ...against the likes of Toulon it has to be 80 mins!

to me it all seemed to stem from 2 careless turnovers from clem in good attacking positions. the nonu turnover / intercept from para the 1st, that seemed to change momentum

16/10 1/2 time ...Toulon not laying down and no surprises in that.
Clerm couple mins to go on on yellow.

This is a fierce, electric game of rugby.

good value.

Result open but current score reflects first half performance.

Yellow was a bit careless but duly exploited
