Yes, much like Saracens, Glasgow, Ospreys etc. The fact is that international windows currently give less successful clubs a leg up over more successful ones. If a so-called global season is ever going to be introduced, it should mean moving the 6N to the Summer, scrapping the futile AIs and Summer tours (we have a World Cup every four years now), and having the clubs play both in their domestic leagues and in Europe with full-strength teams as often as possible.

Yep, that would guarantee Mumbles never having a bean to improve their ramshackle premises as you described.

It's only money innit?

Doesn't tarnish La roc's impressive performance ...low budget, top crowds, away win %, team ethic and their team skills are begining to be recognised Nationally as a result of performance. Excellently coached at all levels ...watch Narbajosa the backs coach, ex Tlse and French player and serving an excellent apprenticeship with thyem.
One blight .. they do have a lot of NFQs but not of the exceptional quality other than the likes of Vito who has been exxceptional this Season.

I'm not admonishing La Rochelle's exceptional success this season. Rather, I am merely saying that it is unfair that teams with a long-term history of success are effectively punished by losing large swathes of their players for three months of the season and deteriorate as a result.

OK, revenue from a few internationals may be lost, but the Pro 12 in particular would improve a lot due to the teams having access to their star players throughout all the season and not just two thirds of it, which would lead to bigger crowds and more revenue that way.

I don't agree. Drag another 32,000 paying supporters into the franchises' games every fortnight and you'd have a more credible point of view, Naj.
