Related to other topic but deserves a separate post ?

Graphics show Top14 Sponsorship levels over 10 years, a little +double but last Season shows the first drop.

Graphic also shows the major beneficiaries

This is well catered for by TV significantly increased revenue but there are instances of increased deficits.
The Stade F issue has been described and some big deficts disguise the average.
As previously stated and debated on here Toulouse are suffering and largely because of their ‘Independent’ set up (51% owned by their Association, 25% by the support of the Group that own the Stadium, 10% by Fiducial the rich Consultancy Co (recently entered into the capital) and the rest by small fish.
Tlse have a history of solvency and profit but are recently showing deficits, last Season 1.1m (approx. 3.5% of turnover. There’s little doubt that they have to recapitalize and Fudicial are in line for that. However that doesn’t come for nothing and they will inevitably demand more executive presence.
Currently the show is run by a ‘Managing Director’ type authority and Bouscatel’s likely contract end will probably excite change and follow the major investor trend of control.
Racing is out of line with the sponsorship item and are in the lower echelon, Lorenzetti investment dominates and he has probably achieved ‘ROI’ by the advantage of his business interests.
Billionaire Altrad has entered the arena with his Montpelier ownership and has bought multiple Boks under Jake White leadership (who will be replaced by Vern Cotter at the end of this Season).

Interestingly(?) the JIFF which insists on increasing % of French developed players (although financial penalties are currently not that great e.g Toulon 100,000 euros which Boudjellal contests is upping Salcap limits and spend.
This issue is also threatening the salary cap as French qualified players are at a premium, recently Camara just signed from Tlse to Mop for 600,000 euros/annum. There are an increasing number of other such transfers. Some such transfers are demanding contract penalties e.g Stade F are asking 400k euros for Slinani release to Clermont.

Many twists and turns but maybe this cartoon sums it up??

ImageEasy to consider past and present, it's the future and associated plan and strategy to achieve that takes the talent ..
