It's a wonderful sporting event.

Instead of being swamped by the ridiculously massive countries issue we have a myriad small population countries/islands busting their balls to produce personal bests and the occasional medal.

It is great entertainment.

Wales is doing not too shabby
South Africa - with Simbine and Bruintjies included - will also line up in the 4x100m relay and with Monday night's result (100 gold and silver) still fresh, they will be backing themselves

"Bulldog" from Brakpan ( a well known East Rand Town ) became the first sa wrestler in 60 years to win gold
His dangerous pistol grip is a trademark and had his opponent from India in all sorts
that gave sa them 13th Gold medal

There is another Bulldog from Brakpan wrestling today see its their club's name. I know it from my boxing days close to the Bulldogs

Our boxing club had 2 world heavyweight champs. Our nr4 heavyweight when we were 17/18 Frans (buffalo) Botha knocked SBW around for 10. The nr1 at the time Coetzee went to the States as a 50/1 shot against the then world champ Michael Spinks and downed Spinks in 36 secs to take the crown. I was nr3. Nr2 was Piet Crous WBA jnr heavy weight champ.

Scotland took 7th off us for day or two but we just got it back :D

England nailed the boxing, 6 golds from 12 fighters plus a few silver and bronze, phenomenal achievement well done them.

TeamGB won 8 out of the 16 Gold medals on offer (England 6, Wales 2) plus a stack of silver and bronze, 23 medals in total. Superb effort by all.

Typical BBC. Rugby 7s only showed ENGLAND on TV! Fantastic game Fiji v Wales lost by 4 points not on TV. Pathetic makes you wonder why we pay license fees! I know it was online but not the point! not EVERYBODY has that option!

Says it all pay the license fee here no option to watch or forget it. I am tech savvy of course and could watch it! Still despise the BBC mind you!
