Post Re: NEW ZEALAND V ENGLAND
What a series.
What a crazy 4th game. 3 tons. Poms had the dream of all dream starts, all nightmares for NZ. Boom. Collapse and NZ back in it. Change over, NZ back deep in it and the poms going hard, NZ 2-2. Taylor genius 181 for the win, enthralling stuff. Was awesome seeing the teams together after the game as well, cracking respect between them. The cons and the meat eaters are currently at the other end of the spectrum. :D

Hopefully this Saturday’s decider is another roller coaster ride! May the best team win. :occasion5:

NZ cricket finals choke continues. :( Not over yet but that was a shocking batting display, wtf were some of them thinking?

Need Boult and Southee to get a wicket or 10 in the first 2 overs.

Fifth one-day international, Christchurch (Hagley Oval):

Toss: England won the toss and decided to field

New Zealand 223 (49.5 overs): Santner 67, Woakes 3-32, Rashid 3-42
England 229-3 (32.4 overs): Bairstow 104, Hales 61

England win by seven wickets

Winning the toss and fielding well did the trick nicely.

Absolute pasting in the final. BC’s coach needs to have a good look at himself, the batting order was a bit of a mess, and has been for the whole series. We were only in it because of individuals, where as the poms have a solid looking batting line up that isn’t anywhere near as ropey as NZ.

Congrats to England, cracking team and sportsmanship all series, going to be hard to beat at the WC next year.

The real game was different..England , once 27-9, managed to reach 58 all out.

NZ 175-3 in reply.

Class... :D

Good win that, the poms batting goes deep. Thought we declared a bit late but what do I know. :? Hope the rain stays away for the next one.

Yes, very good win and about time to dispel the notion that New Zealand is a one sport country, albeit the best in the world at it by some measure.

We definitely aren’t a 1 sport country, but that has nothing to do with our cricket. :D Every kiwi knows the bigging up our cricket team leads to tears, usually big massive buckets of them.

We row better than we cricket.
