Post Chris Froome ups his dosage.
Quote:
Chris Froome is facing questions after returning an "adverse" drugs test at the Vuelta a Espana.

The Team Sky rider had double the allowed level of legal asthma drug Salbutamol in his urine.

Cycling's world governing body the UCI wants more details from the team but says Froome is not suspended.

Quote:
The Briton, 32, says he increased his dosage but it was within the legal limits and the UCI is "absolutely right" to ask questions.

Froome says he took his team doctor's advice to up his inhaler use after his asthma symptoms got worse during the Vuelta.

If this had been Contador or Sagan or Uran, we, and I include myself in that, would have been all over this story but because it's a "Brit" I expect we will believe him.
Having said that it does seem odd that it is just 1 test and I not sure what the testing protocols are but you have to think as the Red Jersey holder he would have been tested any number of times

I've no knowledge of how it works in cycling, but i would assume that you would be equally likelly to be tested if you are successful or not. Anyway if its like rugby the successful ones are less likely to take drugs, its only the problem of the people in the chasing pack ;)

In rugby it is by chance, actually drawn when they turn up to test. You could look at teams and pick out the likely candidates quite easily, sometimes obviously, but this is not allowed.

These shock-horror stories will keep on coming as the man is an asthmatic.

Got to sell newspapers, you know.

As for this dosage increase, why didn't SKY tell the doping squad at the time?

Surely nobody would seize on it and try to upset Team SKY?

Not blydi much they wouldn't .......

Everytime I think of British cycling for some reason I think East Germany.
