Post Re: England v Australia in the Ashes
Aussies will want to get Root out early tomorrow he is probably England's best batsman these days on the other hand the English will hope Root goes on to get a big score.

Post Re: England v Australia in the Ashes
Close - England lead Australia by 7 runs with 8 wickets remaining

BT showed another blood and thunder performance from Australia and their captain carried his team to a 1st innings lead.

Not a lot, but the skipper's 141* was tremendous.

England must have been shell shocked and then they were very nearly smashed to pieces when the England captain was hit full in the face by a thunderbolt that smashed off a piece of his helmet !!

All in all, I think we can call that Australia's day ...

Bloody Hell !!

OZ made 328 and the England response was less than convincing :-

England 2nd Innings

Cook c Starc b Hazlewood 7 (A mile away down on the leg boundary after an ill judged hook)
Stoneman* - 19
Vince c Smith b Hazlewood - 2
Root* - 5 (off 48 deliveries)

Extras - nil

Total 33 for 2 (16.0 overs)

Watched about 3 hours of it, not getting Cummins out was a big factor, while Smith was superb.

Day 4 of 5

Australia - First innings 328 all out
Second innings 13 for no wicket off 6 overs.

England - First innings 302 all out
2nd innings - 195 all out.

Australia are looking good at the minute but how long will that last?

15 for no wicket.

The OZ pundits are giving England some advice.

Jimmy Anderson to bowl again.

Warner lofts a 4 ... not where he wanted to hit it.

Poor shot for a flaky boundary.

42 off 15 ..
