Post Samson finally removed as FA were embarrassed
In an unprecedented show of incompetence, the FA have sacked the man who has already been cleared 3 times - by 2 inquiries by themselves and an independent inquiry by a 3-person panel appointed by themselves.

As the whole team of female internationals raced towards him to give a big hug of support, the report clearing Samson to be appointed as England Ladies' Head Coach was being re-assessed by the FA's present CEO.

He wasn't party to the original decision to confirm Samson's appointment - as an incoming CEO he wasn't therefore even allowed to see the report confirming Samson's suitability as it was none of his doing in the first place.

However, a clandestine copy was made available to the new CEO by some ill wisher, a meeting was called and Samson has now been removed from his job.

Here's an example of the FA in action very recently - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-41337127

Here's the Telegraph's view of the Samson Affair - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/09/20/mark-sampsonto-step-england-womens-manager/

Quote:
FA chief executive Martin Glenn called Sampson to Wembley the morning after his team’s 6-0 World Cup qualifying win over Russia to tell him his conduct while in his previous job at Bristol Academy was “was not what we want from an FA employee”.

Quote:
Glenn said that it was “technically” Sir Trevor Brooking who “was the guy in charge at St George’s Park at the time, on the hiring panel” when Sampson was appointed.

Quote:
The women’s team play their next game, a friendly against France in Valenciennes on Oct 20, and the FA is yet to appoint a successor to Sampson.

The Daily Mail, of course, is a bit sharper :-

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-4903136/Mark-Sampson-sacked-England-Women-s-manager.html

Quote:
The FA were in crisis on Wednesday night after England women’s manager Mark Sampson was sacked because of inappropriate relationships with female players he coached at Bristol Academy.

FA chief executive Martin Glenn admitted having been made aware of an investigation into Sampson’s conduct two years ago but failing to look into it further.

Last Wednesday, Glenn was passed the full report into accusations against Sampson in March 2014 — soon after he became England manager — of inappropriate relationships with more than one female player at Bristol Academy, claims which made his FA position ‘untenable’.

Quote:
However, Glenn made it clear no criminal activity had taken place.

Quote:
Sportsmail revealed last month that the FA paid Aluko £80,000 to keep quiet about her complaint, despite Sampson being cleared by two investigations.

Glenn said: ‘Because a number of people had been seeing the general scrutiny that Mark was under, several people took it to our attention and said we should go and reopen the case file and take a look.’

This is yet another FA confirmation of their inability to run the FA.

Personally, I'd have been inclined to keep Sampson and get rid of the FA mandarins.
