I was there last night. The atmosphere at the CCS is brilliant. What a goal. We still have a lot to do to qualify but at least we are still in the mix and Woodburn is now tied to Wales.
Bouchy young Ampadu was one of the subs. He is one for the future and currently with Chelsea.

Aye, he's a good kid.

Looking around, Chelsea have a massive input into the upskilling of young players. Literally dozens of top notch youngsters have been "processed" and the last few years since 2010 have seen dominant Chelsea juniors winning trophies as well as getting a tremendous start in the game. Some of their wins have even been televised.

Have a look at - http://www.chelseafc.com/the-club/history/style/trophy-cabinet.html

Ethan Ampadu was with Exeter - have a peek at this from the English press :-

Quote:
Chelsea have reached a deal to sign the Exeter City defender Ethan Ampadu, with the Premier League champions in negotiations over agreeing compensation with the League Two club for the highly-rated 16-year-old.

Ampadu made 13 appearances for Exeter’s first team last season and became the club’s youngest player after making his debut aged 15 years, 10 months and 26 days against Brentford last August.

The son of Kwame Ampadu -the former West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City midfielder - had also attracted interest from Manchester United and Arsenal, where his father is now the under-18s manager.

Ethan has a bright future now.

;)

The lad has done it again. A polished performance and a confident display of excellent skills tonight.

Wales eventually won 2 - plonk and Ben broke from the halfway line, outpacing a defender down the side and knocking over a low cross that Kanu headed smartly into the net.

That was the first goal and the Wales goalkeeper saved a rare Moldova shot before the second goal was knocked in, via a slight deflection, to make the game safe.

Wales now lie second in the group and that is very, very good in my book.

Quote:
Gareth Bale had a low shot fumbled by goalkeeper Ilie Cebanu - who redeemed himself by smothering Ramsey's rebound - but despite enjoying as much as 72% possession, Wales lacked guile and cutting edge at crucial moments.

That was until Woodburn came on after an hour and immediately injected the pace and invention his team-mates had struggled to produce in attack.

With 10 minutes left, the teenager burst into the Moldovan penalty area and clipped a perfect cross for Robson-Kanu, whose plunging header brought precious relief to the Welsh fans behind the goal.

Ramsey's goal gave the scoreline a healthier look but, with Serbia marching towards automatic qualification, it will realistically be the play-offs in Wales' sights as they go into their October double-header away against Georgia and - potentially pivotally - at home to the Republic of Ireland.

Is this an ongoing problem with soccer matches?

Two excellent sub appearances the past two games by Ben Woodburn that changed both games in Wales favour.

Managed to win in Georgia but Ireland already one up v Moldova.

Hope I'm wrong but have a horrible feeling those 4 drawn games are going to bite us on the bum. We should have already qualified not be scrapping around for 2nd place. Very frustrating
