 Glamorgan 2017 season
new season same old dross, 101 all out with 9 for 3 at one stage and 26-6, northants 268-6 at close.
yet another long season ahead.

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
Northants claimed the extra half hour and bowled them out..maybe they can play a one day game tomorrow and get some practice..

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
So Rudolph thought it sensible to bat first in damp and overcast conditions on day one with the weather set fair thereafter. His batting is bad enough but his captaincy seems just as useless. A pathetic opening performance

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
Yes, Northants were 27-3 also, but conditions improved. Terrible decision to bat first.

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
They've signed no-one of note, so no surprise really

Also nobody watches 4 day cricket, especially Division 2.

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
Glamorgan captain Jacques Rudolph told BBC Wales Sport:
"I admitted we should have bowled (first), but we had them 27 for 3 and then we had Wakely bowled off a no-ball and dropped the next ball, they could have been 27 for 4 and the game in the balance, then we dropped Rory on the boundary on about ten, he scored 86 and took the game away from us".
"Our batting performance (on day two), I don't think it was a 190 kind of wicket, it was a good batting wicket and that's something we need to reflect on and re-group this week".
"Lukas (Carey) has been the most impressive bowler in nets, I think he's got a bright future ahead of him and it's nice to have Colin (Ingram) back as well in decent touch."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Winning the toss should have seen Glamorgan bowling first up. There's a maxim that you should bat first no matter what though ....

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
It was an absolute no brainer. The ball was moving around all over the place on that first morning. What on earth was he thinking?
