 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
Glamorgan lost their 8th championship game of 13 today. It sounded as if there were about 30 there in Cardiff based on the commentary.

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
county cricket should be scrapped. its boring, no one watches and it must cost the clubs a fortune.

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
How else do you prepare for Test Cricket, the last bastion of tradition in the game, before the beautiful game gets turned into slogging for beer swilling morons and fireworks displays?

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
Time for Glammy to drop Rudolph and Ingram neither of whom will be playing red ball cricket reason and bring in Donald and Owen Morgan. I would also bring in Smith for De Lange and rest Cooke to give Cullen a chance.

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
I love the game but it is played during working hours so I cannot attend the four day stuff. As Langland says you cannot scrap the four day game as England would then have no prep for Test matches.

1997 - Glamorgan win the Championship. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/41304893Superb stuff from beginning to end. I was there in Taunton and couldn't believe the noise when Steve James, who had survived an absolutely plumb shout for LBW, hit the winning runs. The trip home on the Supporters' Bus was epic.

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
Great win for Glamorgan today, and some useful performances from the younger players. We have the makings of promotion contenders in the 2018 season !!

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
Steady on John. Still it was great to see seven Welsh young men in the winning team today. Brilliant from Hogan with 10/87. He will be the right man to captain these youngsters next season. Hogan has to go down as one of our best ever overseas signings.

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
Great stuff Bouchy. I wasn’t there but whilst at work kept sneaking out to my car to get updates on the score in that final game against Somerset. It was a fantastic season.

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
It would be great if Matthew Maynard could come back to the SWALEC; Hugh Morris, Robert Croft and M.M. would be a combination better than any others in the Championship.

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/41409024Another win for Glammy. Glamorgan batsman Nick Selman told BBC Sport Wales:"It was good to get the win and to score a few here, I had a fair idea about the slope and all that, so a good way to end the season. Connor played really well to get us off, and we set up a platform for the other guys to finish it off. "It's been a relatively good summer (902 first-class runs and four hundreds), a bit inconsistent which is frustrating but that's the way it goes opening. Kent coach Matt Walker told BBC Radio Kent:"We didn't really play well enough over the course of the three days though on day one, Joe Denly was outstanding. "Last night Hogan bowled beautifully and caught us on the hop a bit, and we struggled to get back from there. There was fighting spirit from Rouse and Stevo (Darren Stevens), but it felt like the end-of-season blues. Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence (day three): Kent 302: Denly 152 & 115: Rouse 44; Hogan 6-43 Glamorgan 229 & 192-5: Selman 70; Stevens 3-53 Glamorgan (20 pts) beat Kent (6 pts) by five wickets

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
I watched a T20 domestic game on t.v. earlier from South Africa. Colin Ingram scored a match winning 89 runs for the Warriors.
What a fantastic limited overs batsman this guy is; would be great if he could get his head down and agree to continue playing red ball cricket. With Shaun Marsh joining Glamorgan next season our prospects look very good for silver wear and promotion to the top tier.

 Re: Glamorgan 2017 season
I thought Ingram will play white ball cricket only next year?
