A slow old day but at least the tail is wagging. This looks like a nailed on draw to me. I' m not convinced England are heading in the right direction generally. The dearth of decent spiners,Anderson coming to the end of his career, Cook's captaincy and middle order issues suggest up and down times ahead. Seven Test matches losses in 2016 is poor.

Root needs to take over and we can hope Jennings and Hameed develop. Broad also slowing down and the attack lacks bite
