Ferrari president Sergio Marchionne has said the team could quit Formula 1 if they do not approve of the direction taken by new owners Liberty Media.

All infighting post Ecclestone Bouch ;)

Yeah, certainly true that, mon brave.

The other webside I use has a slightly different slant.

Quote:
“Today was a key step in the development of the Power Unit regulations for 2021," added Peter Bayer, FIA Secretary-General for Sport. "The FIA has been working with the Commercial Rights Holder to define a positive step forward for these regulations which maintain Formula One’s place at the pinnacle of motor sport technology whilst addressing the key issues facing the sport such as cost, road relevance and fan experience at the racetrack. We felt it was important to bring the teams into the discussions today and explain the direction we are taking and I’m pleased with the response we have received.”

In the spirit of the widest possible cooperation, a series of meetings will now commence with all the interested parties to discuss and develop the proposals.

You have to wish him luck.

:pirate:

Arbitration now eh?

All part of the process ....

An in-depth analysis by Benson of the BBC has concluded that independent companies like Cosworth will be able to take part in F1 once the new regs start.

No shit, Sherlock?

First Practice - Interlargos

1:09.672 by Lewis Hamilton is a new record at the current iteration (revised circuit) of Interlagos, beating the previous time set by Juan Pablo Montoya in 2004 by almost two seconds.

Hmmmm.

Right, gone now.

Cheers.

Vettel start to finish
Bottas not up to it after he lost poll at the start
Raikkonen held off Hamilton for 3rd ... Hamilton came from Pit lane start to nearly a podium!

Vertstappen finished in front of Ricciardo who had a prang but like Hamilton had plenty of fun coming through the field.

Good to watch, wasn't it?

Hamilton's prang in Q1 led to a bloody good race.

As he said, "It just shows that I'm human" and he zoomed up to a good position when that safety car came into play.

After that, the 4 time world champion (Vettel) kept Bottas at bay with some ease and the 4 time world champion (Hamilton) did 44 laps on the soft tyre then switched to super softs for the more difficult overtaking.

He got up close to Raikkonen but then ran out of rubber, which was a pity as Niko vs Hamilton for a couple more laps would have been epic.

If there'd been a safety car later he could well have won, the benefit of his early exit was that he had a full set of tyres available.

Anyway he made an error and paid for it, can't argue about that.
