Post Re: Mourinho to United done?
United is all ready like the rest of the clubs, just look at the way Moyes was sacked a couple of years ago! It's the way the game has gone now, all teams are like it

What's not to like about the most hated manager in football managing the most hated club, IF he's even the slightest bit successfull (no guarantee) the media, other football clubs, other football fans will hate it.

VG gone today according to some

After reading some things from a certain United subscription forum it looks like the leaks on the weekend could have been made by one or two of the United first team and even a coach....

Disgusting to see how VG has been treated by certain United established players, ex players and the media! No wonder he brought in Scweinsteiger and tried to sign players like Ramos, Vidal, Hummels etc, he saw the club lacked genuine leaders and he was fighting a losing battle with the established players in the squad so tried to create his own group of established players

No question he made mistakes, but when you consider the transition the club has gone through over the last three years, the amount of established players and deadwood that have left, the kids he's brought through and he's still kept us challenging for European football (only losing out on GD) and won a trophy (one in which we haven't won for 12 years) I still think he's done a decent job

The big problem though of course was he'd be leaving at the end of next season...... I'd have tried to tempt him with another couple of years tbh.

Don't like Mourinho, his ego leads and I think that his placebo effect is waning?

Maureen signed over his image rights and the commercial rights to his name to Chelsea until 2020?

That is hilarious if true!

Done deal and will be announced tomorrow or Friday according to the press

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/201 ... ut-commer/

But it is thought those issues over a number of Mourinho’s image rights were resolved during further discussions on Wednesday and United – who have been relaxed about the situation – are expected to announce the former Chelsea manager’s appointment on Thursday or Friday once a few minor details have been resolved.

Mourinho signed endorsement contracts in 2014 with luxury car manufacturer, Jaguar, Swiss watch maker, Hublot, and Paradise Co, a South Korean casino operator.

Yet that presented a potential headache since United have their own tie-in with U.S. car giant, Chevrolet, who have a seven-year shirt sponsorship deal with the club worth £357 million, a partnership with a rival watch company, Bulova, and a commercial contract with Donaco International, a casino resort firm who operate in South Korea and other Asian countries.

Modern day football..... :pukeleft:

08 Dec 2016 - Europa League - Group A

Zorya Luhansk 0 - 2 Manchester United

Mkhitaryan (48'), Ibrahimovic (88')

The magic man has done it again! Another European triumph as United dominate in ~ Odessa.

Ibramovisch is the real deal for United and his performances this season have carried United into the knock-out stages!

United face Tottenham on Sunday and Ibrahimovic's form is gathering momentum - his late finish was his sixth goal in seven matches.

United are playing well at the moment, just not scoring enough. Still everyone expects miracles these days, long gone are the days when a manager was given time to build a team.
Maureen is a bit of a sulky child mind, see his interview after the Everton game, I thought he was bigger than that, obviously not.
Paul Pogba, can't see why he cost so much money, he reminds me of Emile Heskey the way he goes down so easily, he looks like Bamby on skates in most of the matches I've seen.
No club can stay permanently at the top, United have had a good run. They are just like Man City and Chelsea now, trying to buy success, mind you they have to, Fergie turned United into a monster of a club, and it needs loads of money just to live, they need to, no, have to try and buy success just to keep ticking over.
