Manchester City have scored 46 goals - 43 points

United have scored 35 goals for 35 points

Chelsea have scored 28 times for 32 points

It's a lot of goals in 15 games .... especially with few goals conceded.

Liverpool and Arsenal have scored a few goals as well but they're conceding goals - way too many goals.

Hammers v Chelsea.

Referee had a stinker - didn't believe in penalties for that day.

Chelsea and the Hammers both suffered - a clear penalty (or even two) for both sides just ignored.

Possession - Home 31% and Chelsea 69%

Shots - Home 5 and Chelsea 19

Shots on Target - Home 2 and Chelsea 2 - that ludicrous data doesn't include half a dozen blocks from the Hammers

Yeah I'd say it's done tbh

City could still have a tough spell, but even then so will the chasing pack so can't see any of them gaining ground

Says a lot for the supposed best league in the world that it's done and dusted by mid December doesn't it, even this super duper pep side has big flawes to their game consid they had so much possession and struggled to create chances against a negative and poor united side.....who are second.

WED, 20 Dec 2017 - EFL Cup - Quarter-Final

Chelsea 2 - 1 Bournemouth

Willian (13 minutes),
Morata (90+1 minute.)

Chelsea had a few new faces out and Bournemouth gave it all to get back to 1 - 1, fair play.

Bournemouth scored in the 90th minute and then conceded immediately.

Good win for Chelsea that. Bournemouth made us struggle.

Last night, the semi-final draw of the Carabao Cup was made and we were paired with old friends Arsenal.

Having been paired with London rivals, the first leg will take place at Stamford Bridge on 9 or 10 January with the second leg away on 23 or 24 January.

The Premier League champions announce record £361m turnover

Almost a million pounds each and every day.

The renevations will be expensive :-

Chelsea's parent company Fordstam has started paying planning costs for the enormous £500m renovations at Stamford Bridge to turn Chelsea's home into a state-of-the-art complex with a capacity of 60,000.

Work is due to commence later in 2018, with substantial work on the railway line close to the ground beginning in 2019.

It is anticipated that Chelsea will remain at Stamford Bridge until 2020 before moving out for a period of up to four years.

Wembley is a potential temporary home .................

Sparky rested key players because he wanted the strongest possible team for today's game against Newcastle.

There's at least 2 or 3 examples of clubs being fined tens of thousands of quid for similar antics.

In today's obscene and grossly inflated loadsa money days, will Sparky's club be asked to shell out £250k or more?

In any case, Chelsea scored 3 goals quickly and 2 goals less quickly - they could have scored 10 or a dozen more.

One-sided rugby games are horrible, deliberately allowing your poor players to have a rest from a soccer game seems bizzare.

Premier League Table

1. Man City - 21 games - GD 49 - points 59

2. Chelsea - 21 - GD 25 - points 45
3. Man Utd - 21 - GD 27 - 44
4. Liverpool - 21 - GD 24 - 41

City might throw the championship away but they won't lose the prize if they play reasonably well and avoid injuries.

If City continue to play as they have done in November/December, they're likely to win the League by 20 points or more.

Arsenal were unbeaten in the 2003/4 season and they won the League by 11 points - from Chelsea.

A tremendous game in Stamford Bridge last night as Norwich gave Chelsea all they could handle from the first minute to the last.

Chelsea could have scored 10 goals but their opponents only conceded 1 and then scored in the last seconds with a tremendous header.

Into extra time, Chelsea were forced to defend and were saved by the goalkeeper on two occasions.

The game went to penalties and now it was the Chelsea players against the Norwich goalkeeper with the officials reduced to minor status, blowing the whistle and such like.

Sadly for Norwich, the Chelsea goalkeeper saved the first attempt by the opposition and Chelsea scored all theirs to snatch a lucky win -

Chelsea's manager had prolonged chats with the 4th Official all game and then shook the referee's hand in the centre of the pitch to show that he isn't a raving lunatic all the time.

Good move that.
