That's true.

We also hit the woodwork 5 times over the two legs.

Bugger.

And Chelsea beat Leicester - again.

Our speed and accuracy totally dominated the first half so Leicester had to change things.

They made a spirited attempt to crock the man who had ripped them to pieces with his pace in the first few minutes of the second half and carried on from there.

Drawing level, they then forced Chelsea to play extra time where another lightning quick player score the winning goal for Chelsea when the Leicester goalkeeper didn't get to ball.

Chelsea move on and play Southampton in the Semi-Final.

Leicester City 1 - 2 Chelsea
Vardy (76'minutes) and, for us, Morata (42 minutes) and Pedro (105 minutes)

Bleedin’ Chelsea. Stam finally gets the boot. It should have happened two months ago but our Chief Exec Ron Gourlay did jack all about it. Now who did Gourlay previously work for Bouchyboos?

You do realise that my knowledge of Gourlay's CV is very limited?

It gets worse. Former Chelsea coach Paul Clement tipped to become our new manager. :(

His CV is generally good.

Not necessarily a bad thing.

As for Chelsea, the BBC said :-

The manner of the victory against Leicester, demonstrating reserves of character and moments of quality, not only kept them on course for silverware, but will also keep confidence high that they can still make the top four, even though they are five points behind fourth-placed Tottenham.

Credit to Chelsea - they kept going. There have been some questions about the attitude of some players at that club over the years but they came up with the right answer after Barcelona and in difficult circumstances. They saw it through and deserve credit for that.

We can still beat anybody.

If we can avoid red cards and injuries we're likely to be okay as long as bent officials stop calling players offside when they're not and the occasional penalty is given in our favour.

This is acceptable.

Everyone else blames us for all sorts.

Spurs finally rejoiced us as they won at Chelsea for the first time in 28 years.

I sad quietly as my drink went warm and I did not swear as the crowd in the bar were a bit noisy after their after booze up.

Life was goodish for them ....

I then retired to our cabin to sob over the balcony.

The wife was shocked.

Having dominated the game, we failed to score more that one goal - two offsides hit the back of the net - and the Hammers got a draw.

:wtf:

Well, Chelsea got the expected win against Swansea but only scored a single goal.

Not good enough boys ... apart from an improved show from Fabregas and a tremendous display from Hazard.

Fabregas' curling finish was a fitting way to bring up his half-century of goals in the Premier League, but it was Hazard's clinical exploitation of a Swansea error that made it, pouncing on Andy King's sloppy loss of possession, weaving his way forward and picking out the right pass.

Hazard was at the heart of Chelsea's best threatening moves and made the most of some naive defending as Swansea afforded him plenty of space for surging runs on the counter.

Chelsea - who had skimmed the top of the bar after Alfie Mawson cleared a Olivier Giroud header - did not see goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois really tested until the final 15 minutes, when Andre Ayew fizzed in a shot.

Kyle Naughton, Tom Carroll and Wayne Routledge also went close.

Chelsea were thumped yesterday - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44020154

Cup Final coming up, but that's no excuse at all.

Michael Oliver will referee the final and the Football Association has confirmed the video assistant referee (VAR) system will be used for the first time in an FA Cup final, with Neil Swarbrick taking the role.

Both sets of fans are allocated more than 28,000 tickets.
