It was a good point but it came at a cost with Fer and Bony both confirmed out for the season. They should have strengthened more in the transfer window

The two signings they did do, do to some extent cover Bony and Fer in the shape of Andre Ayew and Andy King.

That performance by the Swans was beautiful to watch.

Cultured precision work and the young subs were outstanding as well.

Passing through a defence is one thing but leaving the Notts County defence in tatters was just overwhelming.

The goal by young Tom Carroll was the pick of the bunch and 20-year-old winger James came on for his debut - did he score? Yep, as sweet as a nut.

Even the Swansea manager was staggered at the wonderful goal by Carrol and his utter disbelief with the feast was plain to see - Carlos Carvalhal's team conceded one goal from a tremendous effort from a precisely placed Husin cracker, but the Swans responded immediately and it was 4-1 at halftime.

In a day of days, the Swans just kept on coming in the second half and the Notts County goalkeeper - who looked better than the fumbling Swansea goalkeeper by the way, just kept on getting beaten and then beaten again.

It was 8 - 1 at the end and that was fully deserved.

Great display - a truly great display from Swansea - and if they can sustain this sort of form over the next months, they will pick up points from everywhere in the league.

Are Swansea prospects improving. Scoring 8 goals against any league team must say something positive !!!

Swansea won again this weekend.

It was only Burnley so it doesn't count really - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43019953

Ki Sung-yueng's late winner, from a piledriver of a shot, lifted Swansea to 15th in the table, two points clear of the relegation zone.

Under Carvalhal, they have won six games, drawn four and lost only one in all competitions.

This is a remarkable turn a round by the Swans. But their closest rivals are still winning games; and there is absolutely no margin for relaxation.

Good game in the FA Cup last night.

Sheffield Wednesday looked very good in the first half but the Swans finally got at them.

Went to Liverpool to watch Swans beat Liverpool 1964 with a crowd from AWCO in Port Tennant
I remember that Noel Dwyer the Swans Eire International goalie had a wonderful game
I also remember still the horrors of the bus trip there and back same day
Swans lost semi to Preston NEt

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/foot ... 43433.html

Also went to Stoke when Swans played ‘em and was the swansong (excuse the pun) of Stanley Mathews, late 40s at the time. It peed with rain and the Stoke pitch was rollered mud!

An incredible point yesterday.

Down to 10 men for most of the match and Huddersfield could not store.

Swans still have a cushion over the bottom three but still have work to do [terrible result for Wrexham today].
