15. Swansea - 24 points
16. Middlesbrough - 22
17. Leicester - 21

18. Hull - 20
19. Palace -19
20. Sunderland - 19

Swansea still have a horrible goal difference after that crazy half a dozen games spell where they were clueless under Bradley.

Perfect results for the Swans this weekend. They are now five clear of the bottom two and four ahead of third bottom. They will definitely be outside the relegation zone following the Chelsea match. Thereafter they have a good run in as do Hull. Other strugglers have harder run ins.

It will be a fairer table after the next round of matches as the bottom teams will then have played the same amount of home and away games, if Swans lose up in Stamford Bridge they wont be many points outside the relegation zone but they seem to be on an upward curve and the early signs of Clement as a Premier League manager are good.

More weak teams than in prior years.

2-2 after 70 against Burley, a win the Swans need

Swans pinch it at the death with a Lorente goal. Finishes 3-2, and a crucial win is secured. Next up it's Hull & Bournemouth away followed by Middlesbrough at home. It looked highly unlikely before Xmas, but the great escape is now very much on.

Need 4+ points from those 3 games...crowd was in full voice.

Crucial win and well deserved. The new signings are doing really well.
Agree with Langland. If they can pick up five points from the next three they will be looking a lot safer.
Newport are down.

Swans should have had a pen at 1-1 away to Chelsea with only 20 minutes to go, Swansea would have won otherwise [in all probability].
Now this week, Swans get a penalty awarded against them when it was a Burnley player handled the ball, it took Swansea till injury time to win it.
I don't like English refs and officials taking charge of English teams versus Welsh teams, plus there is the big team bias, the sooner the big teams like Man Utd and Liverpool and big countries like England allow TMO in football the better, Swansea will gain big time, will the big teams allow it ?, there is talk of it being trialled, other sports have it.

Siggy back on form, as you know he is class when he is on his game, Llorente scoring, Olsson and Mawson looking good, Mawson is possibly the best attacking centre half in the entire Premier League, he hit the bar and post today, has scored a few goals since joining the Swans and looks a threat in the opposition box.

Team is playing with a little confidence which was eroded under Bradley.

Swans needed the 3pts against Burnley to keep a bit of a buffer between them and the bottom 3 and what with Leicester and Palace winning so far this weekend as well it was an important win for Swansea.
