Nah, I'm genuinely optimistic now.

This new face has passion and clout.

The Trust bois want to see Swansea winning without Huw Jenkins.

Sort it out after the last game, FFS.

Swans need a new manager bounce and a direct quality replacement for Gylfi.

Ever wonder why so few British referees get asked to major tournaments?

It's there for all to see these last couple of weeks.

Massive mistakes and controversy determining the results in umpteen matches.

The Swansea game against Spurs was a less than wonderful example yesterday.

A headed goal for Spurs from a player who was offside by a yard when the free kick was taken.

The touch judge was in line but was afflicted by temporary blindness in his one eye.

And, a superb example of scything a player down by a player who had already been booked.

The Spurs hatchet thug didn't get a second card.

Swansea were robbed.

Again.

It's Arsenal, whose manager has finally been charged after his tirades against officials this last week, versus Chelsea tonight.

That could be interesting.

Hmmmm?

Swans were robbed today by inept officials. The touch judge failed to flag an offside for the score & the ref bottled out of giving a deserved red card.

Another winnable game gone by for the Swans; time's running out and so are the points.

The next 3 matches look horrible (one of them a cup replay), but there's easier (looking) fixtures thereafter, to some extent.

If we don't win some....no all of those, we can start planning for the Championship, simple as that.

That may sound stark. but our standing is....stark and desperate.

Other results are not helping especially Palace who are now on their way to safety. The Swans really need to beat Liverpool or Arsenal otherwise they could be something like seven points adrift from safety.

Not losing to the people down at the bottom of the table with the Swans helps a lot. At least they're not losing ground then.

Any other points picked up are like gold dust and as rare as hen's teeth.

C'mon the Swans.

16. Southampton - 21 points after 23 games

20. Swansea - 17 points after 23 games.

It's a real dog fight now.

Not losing against a relegation rival if you are 4 or 5 pts clear of them keeps the gap and might help but if you are the team that is 4 or 5 pts behind and the gap stays the same with another game gone then it does not really help.
