Yes, it's a hard slog (pardon the pun) as the Yanks will always play baseball or softball.

Of course i want Glamorgan to be up there, and they are still in Div 1 of the 45 over variety.

I think people are too harsh on a young side.

Eliotts beiin injured, and they are mising Kasper.

I would like to see them get Kallis back next year if they can.

I agree Leighton, and think Glam are doing OK for a side who are clearly doing a-lot of re-building this year.

I think Elliot makes a difference when he's playing and hope he'll be back next year. Maybe Kaspa too, as his experience must be a big help to youngsters like the Harrisons. Trouble with Kallis is he's sure to have SA coimmitments next season.

One day isn't cricket, though.

Sorry Glyn, I am a traditionalist with Cricket. The four day game evens out the slogging and luck element. Glamorgan belongs in Div 2 if we are to remain purely Welsh, which we have not been since about 1960? Peter Walker (South African), Majid Khan (Pakistan), Roy Fredericks (WI) and so on?

Sorry SE all sides are cosmopolitan now.. it's the way of the world. It's like harping on about only Welsh players playing for the regions.

That is my point though, Keith? Glamorgan has always relied on foreign players since the late 1960's into the Viv Richards days. So to justify dreadful results this year by saying that the county is trying to be all Welsh like it used to be is complete crap because they have not done that since 1948 when they won the championship with Welsh players.
