Post Re: Webb reconciled to exile
As far as I am. Concerned all the pro 14 is cor is to give Welsh players game time ready to prove themselves for Welsh selection , if they have moved on forr more money than the region's can afford they probably have done that already.

The regions are the ones that, at least initially, develop players for the national team. Therefore, strong regions would usually mean a strong Wales. Isn't it evident that Wales were generally playing better before the 2011-14 player exodus? Before then, the Scarlets won the Celtic League once, the Ospreys won it three times and the AWC once, and the Blues won the AWC once and the Challenge Cup once (against Toulon, no less). In any case, apart from the Dragons, who I agree are indeed an embarrassment, as this weekend for example proved the regions can compete quite well against the English and French clubs (at least when they don't have too many injuries). The seminal Rugby Vision website ranks the Scarlets as the fifth best team in Europe, while the Ospreys and the Blues are ahead of somewhat wealthier clubs such as Bordeaux and (perhaps rather more shockingly) Leicester.

Thanks for cheering me up, Najer. I did think that Wales were going to struggle in the upcoming Six Nations, but now I realise that with the Scarlets doing pretty well this season, Wales are looking at an easy Grand Slam, and as long as the regions continue to win the odd game, we'll probably go on to be victorious at several world cups.
Blues voted ahead of Leicester in a magazine? My God. Bet the All Blacks are shitting themselves now.

If the new system is anything like the old system, Gats will get what he wants despite the rules.

Gatland is a forceful character isn't he?

And he's still calling the shots when it comes to squad and team selection, which is good to know.

The Big Five had a little chat to discuss who was going to get the bribe from the Western Mail and then announced the side once everyone knew.

This rule was because the favoured 4 wanted it , get Welsh players for less than the fair market price simples

So it is just the 4 pro clubs that wanted it was it? What about more access for the national team if players are playing in Wales?

It was the pampered posse through their lap dog that pushed this through, it’s ok though it does not matter if the game in Wales fails cos all is being done to prop up the failing 4.

Pretty high standards Jim if winning the Pro12 and being one game away from winning a group in the top tier European competition is seen as failing.

Seems about right. We have a blueprint for excellence, but we'll countenance failure, providing they have a tradinguished histography.

Not much point bringing someone in to 'sort things' if you can not let him do as he wants. is there?
as the old saying goes, rules. For the guidance of the wise and the blind adherence of fools.

One fan on here gave the team accurately once - from one to 23.

Now that's a mystery .... which Llanelli player told him?
