I couldn't see from the video when it happened .. appreciate a timeline :-)

OK I saw it!

Stupid *Bar steward* should have kept his eyes open and not tried to be a smart arse.

All his own fault for letting his guard down.

The tackle is absolutely coming in as he starts his push down on the ball .. a very bad decision on his own part.

For want of a few feet he lost his leg.

One might want to look at hands?

Give the lad a chance. I'm sure he realises.

What a shite way to get injured.
Get well soon, young Keelan.

I hate to point this out, but that video has nothing to with this or any other injury. I'm not sure why the criticism, even if it was.

The way it's being talked of sounds distinctly ACL esque, and although you can make a full recovery in 8 months these days, I'd be surprised if he's the same player again. I hope I'm wrong and I wish him the best

Yet another cruel example of a player with an injury that could impact a career. Even more so with someone so young and promising.

However, it does put into perspective again the extent of injuries in the modern game.

I hope when he returns alarms about futures will be unfounded.

An aside and only from a matter of interest, what is the normal insurance aspect with regard to player and Club in such an instance? ... and with regard to longer term potential effects

Clubs will have players insured to cover part of or all of their contracted wages in the case of injury.

Players will have a loss of career insurance policy, a bit like a pension to take you up until 35 if your career ends

I say 'will'

I suspect the squad members on the low end of rock star wages will not have their wages covered by insurance at club level, or have end of career insurance, because it isn't cheap.

It's all voluntary
