Post Welsh Second Rows
Just wondering on the thoughts on the next decade second rows and pecking order.

I can see S. Davies and A, Beard but cant get much gumption about that Thornton or the raving over Corey Hill.

Thornton is about a stone heavier than the first 2 but doesnt punch his weight and cant say hes kicked on with a performance of any note.

Hill seems to be touted as the next Welsh captain and rips up trees in training, hope to see some caber tossing in the next month then.

Any othets to challenge

Hill seems to me a decent player who is an asset to the Dragons and the national side. He is a first choice regional player. That said, I hacent seen anything from him yet to suggest he is as good as Jake Ball or Bradley Davies at their best, let alone Charteris or Alun Wyn. I can see him being an Andrew Coombs figure who picks up a fair few caps from the bench without ever really threatening the first choices, starting only when injuries require it. I really hope he proves me wrong though!

Seb and Beard look very promising - they could be the partnership for the post-alun wy'n era.

Been impressed with Seb Davies. Saw him play at Eirias - he looks mahoosive.

I believe e the modern vernacular (according to my 16 year old niece) is 'Well Hench'

could be a valley thing though

Hims well hench by there

I always wanted to be a Henchman, looks like an interesting career.

Corey Hill always looks like a villain out of Flash Gordon to me. Not so much now he has 'squared off' his beard though

Never trust the beard. A well rounded beard can hide the evil square-bearded intentions of the chin in question.
Then we've got Adam Beard. *fupp* knows if he's evil or not.

I don't think hill is big enough to be an international lock but he could be an impact player from the bench

Fortunately ball, Davies, beard and Thornton all have the dimensions to play international rugby. So let's hope they come through. Also see joe Davies is picked to start against the ospreys and this lad is also a unit

Ball is out in front for me... the only one id trust in a proper international at the moment

Seb Davies looks like a sensational prospect.

Watched the game last night and have to say that I just don't see it with Cory Hill.

Neither do I, nor did I with Coombs before him.

I always think he is too small to play as an international lock forward but everytime I see him play I think he does well. So performance wise he generally does it for me

I like the way you explain .. you give insight and then a conclusion, it's a rare talent. :D

It comes from an absolute belief in my own opinion despite the overwhelming evidence that I am wrong the majority of the time. I once tipped Scott Andrews to come good!
