The difficult pre season continues with the ospreys

Fortunately it's what happens when the season begins that matters

First teamers missing were Halfpenny, Foxy, Evans, Barclay, Owens and Rawlins. Lee played as a sub for 20 minutes in the first half.

Half the team..

Due to injury, Ball was missing too.

I thought Ball was held out as an NDC player, who are all due to report on 8/25?

Precisely. Rob Evans and Samson Lee were due to tour but missed out because of injury too.

I wasn't overly impressed by the Ospreys youngsters in action either, but still I doubt even a Saracens or Clermont team with circa 40% academy players would have beaten a strongish Bath outfit like that.

Leaner it seems which seems to be the new trend. Same as in the NFL which is all about speed this days.

Ospreys, Scarlets and Dragons all lost heavily in their respective matches. On the credit side, Blues did beat Exeter.
