Post Premiership Fixtures 2017/18 out of the box
Western Conference

Bridgend, Neath, Swansea, Aberavon, Llanelli, Llandovery, Carmarthen Quins & RGC (Home and Away = 14 games).

Eastern Conference

Cardiff, Newport, Cross Keys, Pontypridd, Merthyr, Bedwas, Ebbw Vale & Bargoed. (Home and Away = 14 games)

Then, midway through the season, points carry over + meritocracy points (for how high you finished in your division).

You then play everyone in the 16 team league once more, so an additional 15 games = 29.

Meritocracy Points? So, if you have the money to buy players to massively strengthen your squad you'll be laughing.

That's not unusual of course, however should Cardiff not be supported by the Blues and Newport not be supported by the WRU, it may well be that they'll demand that all Premiership clubs have the same wages bill - and no more than that.

Restrict the size of the squads and move on the over-28s who are not player/coaches?

:D

This is to be confirmed by the WRU, of course.

Oh to have 2 consecutive years years with the same format

Having said that this will certainly cut the travelling costs down, well for the east anyway, and should hopefully encourage more away support
Will be interesting to see if the Championship is split into East and West

If they half as much effort into improving the Welsh Prem as they do in ruining it it would be a very good league by now.

29 games seems a lot?
