I said when this was bought up the other week, when Williams stepped up last minute to replace the injured Burns, that he should be commanding the starting 10 spot before he starts getting looked at for international duty.

And it's Freddy flappy Burns!!!!

Inside knowledge my arse...And wrong on all counts....Owen Williams has started more games at ten than Freddie Burns this year despite being injured for the first two games. He's not been on the bench, Owen Williams has started every game since his injury and Owen Williams started at ten v Munster at the weekend. Freddie Burns is only in the side because Leicester as you say have no specialist 12 with Matt Tomua injured so Owen has to play there. That's the level of trust Leicester have in him. There's more chance of you growing another ring piece than Owen Williams going back to The Scarlets.

Actually Simon you are wrong.

Twice this season Williams was named at CEntre and moved to Fly half at kick off due to late injuries to burns, who has missed 5 games through injury in total

Even so Burns has started 10 times at fly half, to Williams 7

Don't think so, I made it Williams 8 and Burns 6 since the start of this season.

I would hope it is not true or too late for Cardiff Blues to sign him as he better long term investment than Leigh Halfpenny.

He will get better coaching and play in a better league with Glaws than the blues.

I am not so sure about that. Gloucester in recent years have been at least equally underachieving and mediocre in recent years when compared to the Blues, especially given the (putative) quality of their squad. Looking at the Aviva Premiership website, they have been in the bottom half of the table for six of the last eight seasons. (Moreover, they even lost a home quarter-final last season to the Dragons no less :thefinger: ).

I'm not a fan of Williams but hope he proves me wrong. Good goal kicker but limited distributor

I watched the Saracens game from last weekend and it was a match he will want to forget, though Saracens do that to a lot of people..

I think he has those quite regularly, games he'll want to forget that is. I don't think he's particularly good to be honest.

Patchell didn't do too badly against them. ;) (Shame he is out injured though, and the jury is still out on Dan Jones).
