Post Owen Williams moving to Worcester rumour.
Rumour after having done some search Owen Williams out of the contract at the end of the season with Tigers has turned downed a move to the Scarlets and is choosing Worcester instead but this all just pure speculation.

Of course Todd Blackadder, Bath coach announce he will stand in the way of George Ford leaving as he been linked with a return to the Tigers with Owens Williams and Freddie Burns are the 10's as well as Sales are also linked but I cannot see any logic sense of him going there so I will rule that out.

I cannot understand why Owen would choose Worcester over Scarlets if it true, strange. I like to think Cardiff Blues would be a good move for him since there room for him there to flourish despite Gareth Anscombe at the helm who he can overrtake like he did with Toby Flood at Leicester.

The rumour is the Scarlets weren't overly nice to him, which was why he left in the first place and probably why he wouldn't go back.

Do you think he'd go back if they got one of their senior negotiators to talk to him. I'm thinking a chat with Benny, and a night out in Llanelli might do the trick.

My understanding is Worcester are just keeping tabs on him but no contact, Owens still mulling over whether to stay with the Tigers with speculation over George Ford will go to Sale or Leicester I am sure would he be aware of before signing anything as he been playing 2nd fiddle to Freddie Burns and would be third choice if Ford arrived next season. As I understand Freddie is happy there and Leicester told him he will be going nowhere and there long term.

All depends what George Ford does will decide Owen Williams fate in January.

Are you rumour control???? The crowd at Leicester have a lot of time for Owen Williams, he's one of their favourites. Likewise, so does Cockers and the coaching staff. Odds on, him going nowhere...Freddie Burns is Not first choice either. It's horses for courses on selection. Finally, George Ford seems to be going to Sale as well and not Leicester.

Also rumours of the Blues being in touch with him, as Anscombe seems to want away from Cardiff now he's realised he's not going to be Wales' 10 that easily.
Wonder if there's any chance of him going to the Dragons at all. They could do with him, along with another decent 2nd row, and head coach.

Why the funk would he trade the Tiger's for a return to Wales?

Who signs for the Dragons that have other options in fully professional rugby, other than Italy...... no one ! People occasionally stay there longer than you would think on the way up. But it is a last payday on the way out. Only a fool would go to the Dragons if they had other options.

Freddie Burns has been first choice as Owen been playing only 12 yet done well there because of lack of another quality 12 they trust. Owen was was playing second fiddle on the bench for several games earlier this season it was not horses for courses selection so I will disagree with you there.

I ready inside knowledge form people in the know that Freddie Burns will be staying put as well.

The Tigers have gone backward and there are downturn in quality of players there are the moment. There good reason for Owen to return Wales, getting into Wales squad and quality of the Pro12 have improved looking better than the Aviva Premiership at the moment.

Inside knowledge my arse...And wrong on all counts....Owen Williams has started more games at ten than Freddie Burns this year despite being injured for the first two games. He's not been on the bench, Owen Williams has started every game since his injury and Owen Williams started at ten v Munster at the weekend. Freddie Burns is only in the side because Leicester as you say have no specialist 12 with Matt Tomua injured so Owen has to play there. That's the level of trust Leicester have in him. There's more chance of you growing another ring piece than Owen Williams going back to The Scarlets.

Actually Simon you are wrong.

Twice this season Williams was named at CEntre and moved to Fly half at kick off due to late injuries to burns, who has missed 5 games through injury in total

Even so Burns has started 10 times at fly half, to Williams 7

IF his club are looking to sign another 10 which will effectively put im in third place in the pecking order, would/should he be selected for Wales. :dontknow:
