Post The solution to wales' attack issues
Regardless of who is now coaching Wales or who may coach us in the future our slow ball power game is ineffective against the worlds best sides and I don't see this changing under any coach or personnel, the game has moved on.
I suggest we need a stronger footballing element in the back line.

Pace is paramount but I can't help thinking dan Biggar at 12. He lacks zip but can kick, pass, make breaks And can tackle. Either way he can't be more pedestrian than the doc. Outside him could we use anscombe or maybe Jon Davies as the strike runner. Sam Davies can control the game from 10 but lean on Biggar if he's under pressure. With two 10s we can really mix stuff up and keep the opponents guessing. 10 to 12 conversion should be easy.

Ideally I'd like a speedster involved but the cupboard is bare at the top level. We have to find ways to offload to get super George into the game, is this the answer?

If pace is wanted, and I think it is, stop the players bulking up so much , and get someone who can pass to either side , without the ball ending up in row D.

I went to the South Africa game and it was noticeable just how slowly the ball was being recycled, allowing the defence to get organised. I accept a big part if that is that we don't really have many powerful ball carriers who can get over the gain line to create quick ball, but it was pedestrian at best.

Back three is pretty sorted with North, Halfpenny and Liam Williams in whichever roles the latter two are used. I think fly half position is going to be a battle between the two Ospreys tens for the foreseeable future, which just leaves the centres. I think Owen Watkin would have been around the squad had he not been injured, so I could see him coming through as an option. I know he has mainly been used at 12 in his career, but I would like to see Scott Williams at 13 to give us a big more pace in the wider areas.

We need a 2nd playmaker not a straight line battering ram at 12 who isn't effective. So who if not Biggar?

Patchell? He has everything a great 12/10, second playmaker needs.
