Good for them. I don't care whether they win lose or draw, though. None of them are my team, and I'm under no obligation to give a fig about their performances.

But you're prepared to praise Irish or English teams when they do well.

Nope. My team play in the Premiership - so that's the league I follow. I don't keep up with the Aviva or Pro12.

Which one?

The almighty Gogs.

Who are serious contenders for the Welsh Premiership title, despite only having existed for a decade!

The Goddamn swine. I heard he bummed a goat, then sacrificed it, then bummed it again.

I am not - on the contrary, it is an exceptional success story that has a real potential to shake things up in Welsh rugby.

Even if the Gogs were to win the prem, they'd probably be stripped of the title because they don't have a long historical tradition of traditional history, and in Welsh rugby that's a far more heinous offence than taking steroids or committing fraud.

This has happened several times, Treorchy I think was first. A team gets a good set of players and punch above their weight and join the top table.
Through retirement and temptation the original squad dilute and they sink back to the level they were or lower.

I (really) hope this is not the case with RGC, but when players are tempted away it is difficult to replace them from the up coming ranks or within the budget.

The Gogs have a healthy academy in place. The conveyor belt is up and running. Ten RGC U18 players picked for the latest Welsh training camp.
They haven't gotten where they are by buying in journeymen to get them up the leagues. It's a natural progression, built bottom up.

Confirmed, as if it was ever in doubt, despite attempts to keep him. No way is there enough money in Welsh rugby to compete with the financial clout of market drivers Saracens. Signs on a three year deal.

good luck to him. His girlfriend living there is also an issue but he will clearly be a loss to the Scarlets.
