I see James Hook has lost the 10 shirt at Gloucester and is now a 12.

He must be used to that happening by now.

He could have been a genuinely world class centre. He's big, got wonderful hands and a good kicking game. If he'd made that position his own once Biggar came through and he lost the 10 jersey he would have been up there with the best IMO. Shame.

He'll improve their defence and he'd be a ready made replacement for Faletau without that glass jaw ....

I thought earlier that he should go to Newport, but the only reason being that he can then say he has played for all four regions.

If he can stay fit I think this season is going to prove once and for all time that Gavin Henson is a better rugby player than Jamie Roberts.

Henson at the start for Bristol was sublime, his slight of hand was causing havoc and even more importantly his calls were bang on every time, a skill sometimes ignored when classing players as test class.

Hibberd looks fit and hit his jumpers constantly unlike scud missile Owens, Owens is good for a cameo but not a test starter imo

Evans did not play but again should not be discounted and moriaty was superb for Gloucester displaying skills to go with his undoubted agression
