Lets bring this one back to life for the new Season. First proper pre-season game tonight against Caldy RFC.

Few new faces in the squad.

Curtis Reynolds - Prop. Welsh Qualified. Came through at Plymouth Albion. Played in the Scottish Premiership last Season for Gala.
Alex Taylor - Number 8. Former New Zealand underage player. Spent last season in Scotland playing for Stirling County.
Dion Jones - Full Back. Home in North Wales after a spell with Llanelli.

A good win as well for the Gogs.

Caldy 17-61 RGC

Well in the Gogs.
Always thought Dion Jones might make it in the pro leagues, but he came through when the Scarlets had some serious quality in their backs, so he was up against it. Still, their loss is our gain.

Team to face RGC (A)

By Aled Thomas | 29/12/2017

Bridgend Ravens have named their squad to face RGC at the Zip World Stadium on Saturday afternoon (2:30pm).

The Ravens faced off against RGC last weekend at the Morganstone Brewery Field and despite an early Cai Evans try, the class of the western division leaders told as they put in a strong second half performance to win 10-27.

The same fixture earlier this season saw Jacob Botica slot a late penalty to steal the spoils in an 18-17 victory. Bridgend’s young side were just seconds from victory that day and know a similar performance will be needed if they are to come out on top this time out.

After scoring all the points last weekend, Cai Evans makes the switch to full back. The only other changes to the back division are at half back where Ryan Evans takes Cai’s place and Will Baird starts.

Up front, the front row comprises Ollie Evans, Gareth Harvey and Rhodri Apsee. Chris John and Kieran Martin continue in the second row. Tom Morgan, Ashton Evans and captain Adam O’Driscoll are in the back row.

One new face for Ravens supporters is prop Neil Elworthy who will be hoping to make his debut for the club from the replacements bench.

Bridgend Ravens XV:

15. Cai Evans 14. Aaron Grabham 11. Mike Powell

12. Nathan Edwards 13. Joseph Gatt

10. Ryan Evans 9. Will Baird

1. Ollie Evans 2. Gareth Harvey 3. Rhodri Apsee
4. Chris John 5. Kieran Martin
6. Tom Morgan 7. Adam O’Driscoll (capt) 8. Ashton Evans

Replacements: 16. Iestyn Merriman 17. Owen Jordan 18. Neil Elworthy 19. Jack Pope 20. Owain Lloyd 21. Connor Tantum 22. Garin Lougher 23. Ed Doe

This league will be decided by bonus points, 1 slip could cost the title.
